The city of Angels is an amazing city to live in.you will find people over here in a cheerful mood all year long. Perhaps the biggest reason for them to be so happy is a vast abundance of sunlight. However, the party starts in the town when the sun sets down and singles come out to play. There are various options to find singles in Los Angeles. My favorite spot to find singles is the boardwalk around the beach. As you might know, Los Angeles has a couple of beach cities, primarily Santa Monica and Venice. Especially during summertime, Santa Monica holds a Thursday evening concert. The music at the concert ranges all the way from swing music to salsa dance. The events brings out groups of singles in large numbers. Such groups often hangout dancing to the music on the pier or drinking some wine on the beach. It is not surprising to see as many as 5000 people hanging out at a Thursday night concert in Santa Monica. This concert is perhaps the best option to find single men and women in Los Angeles. It is socially acceptable to walk up to a single girl and ask her a dance.
The thing to keep in mind while approaching strangers is that you should come across as confident and harmless person. Keeping your hands out-of-pocket and having a confident, calm look on your face would help too. After all, body language is the most important aspect of your communication in striking a conversation with a stranger. If you're one of the people with two left feet and are not a good dancer, you should invest in dancing lessons. There are many dance schools in Los Angeles where you can improve your dancing skills. Los Angeles being so close to Mexico, it also helps if you know Spanish as been you can approach and talk fluently with Mexican girls. After a couple of dances, you should feel in a comfortable to ask her out on a date. The boardwalk around the beach in Los Angeles has numerous options for evening dates as well. It is quite common to see a lot of singles in Los Angeles hanging around the beach on weekends. Do remember that Santa Monica pier concerts run from July to September every Thursday night.

My online dating journey:
I have to admit that I would be the first person to tell you that I couldn't really buy into the whole online dating thing. I mean, sure, I thought about it from time to time. I also thought about what my profile would say and how it would look. I would think about the things I should say and things that I thought I should reserve, just in case. The one thing that had kept me from creating an online dating profile was really paying the fees to go to a branded site.
Well, a few months ago I came across which read "free online dating for professionals". I'll admit, I work more hours than I would like to admit, but I love what I do, so this ad really caught my attention. I spent the next couple of hours creating a perfect profile. The first thing I did was to go through my photos and uploaded a few that displayed my 1000 watt smile and a few of me hiking and surfing (my favorite hobbies).
The next thing I did was go the the "About Me" section where I conveyed who I was, what my personality is like and of course, I added a bit of humor to spice it up a bit. My friend constantly advised me to be honest, so I took her advice. The next section was with regards to who I was looking for. Again, I though long and hard and went for it. I talked about how my ideal match would be someone who isnt too serious, is honest, enjoys the outdoors and has a great sense of humor. After a few more areas were filled out, I hit complete and began my search.
As I had mentioned before, I've been quite pessimistic about online dating sites and this was gonna be my opportunity to prove my instincts were correct. A few days later, I received a few messages from people who not only were good looking, but seemed geniuinely interested in me. After exchanging a handful of emails, I finally decided to meet one of them in real life. I wont make a novel out of the details, but let me just say that online dating really proved me wrong. I am currently in a relationship with a wonderful person and life couldnt be better (unless of course there were a few more digits in my bank account). If you're in a situation like I was, I would say to go for it. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Date stacking: A growing trend for single professionals.
As a busy professional you would understand that time is of immense value. For someone who spends most of his day at work, one soon learns how to make the most efficient use of free time. And let's face it, Dating is the best recreational activity out there to take mind off the work. Over the last few years, the demand for single professionals in the dating game has been increasing exponentially as they have their act together and can provide a good financial stability in relationship. To make the best use of the time available out of the busy career, it is a common practice to use date stacking.
Date stacking, if it's a concept new to you, is simply scheduling dates one after another so that you get the chance to meet a few interesting singles in the same evening. My parents remind me that reading their youth, date stacking was considered immoral and was looked down upon. However the times have changed and it is socially acceptable to use date stacking as a way to get the most out of the your free evenings. However there a few things you should keep in mind while stacking your dates.
1. Make sure that your dates don't know that your are scheduling dates one after another.
2. Keep at least 15 minutes gap between the two dates
3. If possible try to meet your dates at different locations so that your romantic interests don't accidentally run into each other.
4. Even if you're having an amazing time with somebody, when the time is over you should say goodby. It is not acceptable to cancel the next date with just a 15 minute notice.
With these tips in mind, you will be able to schedule your dates appropriately without making them feel uncomfortable while hanging out with them. It's a skill which takes some time to master said don't be upset if you make a few mistakes while learning the ropes. Pretty soon you'll be able to stack your dates like you're able to stack your meetings at your workplace.
